How it all began

Welcome to my little corner of the internet! Inner Eminence is a candid, sweet, and creative journal that’s a little slice of my heart and soul.

This journal is fueled by copious amounts of chamomile tea, p&w songs, flowy dresses, and Jesus! My blogging journey started when I was a timid teenager, looking to share my creativity with the rest of the world.

After some encouragement from my English teacher (Mrs. Myers) to sign up for my first Blogspot, the words flew out of me at an ebullient rate. The process of creating content ignited so much joy in my heart. Each post was like a declaration of love to all things beautiful and sweet.

Over time, I outgrew Blogspot and found a deeper desire to invest in a bigger space to house my collection of love letters. Now, I have Inner Eminence – a website that shares the inner workings of my creative mind and adventurous soul.

To me, Inner Eminence means unlocking your greatness and living your truth. I want to use this space to document my journey to authentic living. Here, I will share with you my latest adventures and reflections. From my personal to educational posts, I hope that Inner Eminence inspires you to find your truth and greatest passion.

I use a Canon Rebel t6i! I currently have an 18-55mm lens, but I’m looking to save up for a 50mm lens. It’s a sturdy camera to learn from as I get the basics down for a DSLR. If I find myself wanting to expand on my photography skills, I’ll probably start looking into buying a different camera body soon.

I use Lightroom from the Adobe Creative Cloud. For my graphics, I work with Canva Pro and Procreate. I like using my ipad to design mockups and draw different images as well. Soon enough, I’ll probably start selling my presets!

I have a lot to say about this topic, and I will probably write some posts about it very soon. Everything! I like to view the world with rose-tinted glasses and a child-like sense of wonder. From beautiful city skyscapes to sunsets at the turnarounds, I am constantly in awe of God’s creation. It ignites my creativity and desire to explore the world.

At the age of 5, I started my journey with music as a classically trained pianist. I made it to level 9 in the Certificate of Merit before I retired from the instrument. Over time, I slowly shifted my interest to guitar as I explored the genre of acoustic pop. Being self-taught, my guitar playing skills are mediocre at best. I’m hoping to train and strengthen my fingers so that I can be a better guitarist. I practice, write, and play all of my music using both instruments.

Blogging is just one of the many things that I do. What can I say? I’m a bit of a workaholic. At the moment, I am working full-time at the University of Michigan. In my free time, I volunteer for the Prison Education Project, Friends of La Posada, and CASA Voices for Children.
